Anyone planning air travel for business or pleasure in 2017 knows that flying isn’t what it was in the past. Crowded parking lots lead to crowded terminals that lead to INCREDIBLY crowded security lines. There you will be poked, prodded, and examined inside-out in a manner unnerving to someone who values personal space. Finally, you will board the crowded plane and be treated to 14 stale peanuts and a can of Coke for which you pay $5.00.
The “friendly skies” they ain’t.
This is the deal since airline deregulation and 9-11. And we accept the situation. While everyone would like to return to an air travel world before 9-11 no one wants to return to air fares that only the 1% can afford. So we queue up, teeth gritted and hoping it will soon be over.
And these are just the things we know about air travel. Surely there aren't more secrets hiding behind the smiles and crisply tailored uniforms of the flight attendants and flight crew.
Au contraire, mes ami. Here are some hidden secrets the airlines would just as soon we didn’t share. But our obligation is to you, dear reader. Not to them.

Some of these secrets will make sense when we explain the reasoning behind the secret. But others will make you say, “Hey! No fair!”
